A Letter From John

Dear Friends:

I want to give you a short update on the election. As you know, we won by less than 1% of the vote. On November 26th, the State Board of Elections certified me as the winner of the election. Since we won by less than 1%, my opponent had the right to a recount. However, he did not petition the Circuit Court for a recount before the December 6th deadline. Therefore, we are now officially the winners.

It has been a long year and I want to thank you for your help, support and friendship. Without your support, this victory would not have been possible. My family and I appreciate all of your efforts, prayers and words of encouragement during the campaign.

It has been an honor serving you and the citizens of Fairfax for the last 16 years. I look forward to serving as your Circuit Court Clerk for another term.
